The Milanese athlete surrendered only to Australian Kim Grace and climbed onto the second step of the podium in Buenos Aires, confirming all her talent
BUENOS AIRES - Italy continues to play a leading role at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. Another medal for the Italian expedition was won by Alessia Nobilio, who took silver in the women's individual golf competition. The Milanese athlete was forced to surrender only in the face of the great exploit of Kim Grace, new Olympic champion with 211 (+1).
Nobilio was in the lead after two rounds along with Australian Grace. In the third round, however, the 17-year-old struggled with two double bogeys and then managed to grab second place with 214 points, tied with Emma Spitz of Austria and Yuka Saso of the Philippines. The 3-way playoff for the silver medal saw the Milanese athlete impose herself thanks to a birdie on the first playoff hole, crowning a great performance that confirms all the talent of Nobilio and gives yet another smile to Italy.
