The start of the season could not have started in a better way for the Italian Women's National Team!
Alessia Nobilio finished in second place in the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship ‘Copa S.M. La Reina’, played on the Zaudìn Golf Club course (par 71) in Tomares, Spain, where she was beaten in the final by France's Mahe Candice on the 21st hole, the third play-off hole.
The Italian was in the lead until the last green, where she was caught by her opponent, who then prevailed with a par in the playoff, at the end of a high-level match, which nonetheless highlighted the great qualities of Nobilio, a 17-year-old Milanese member of GC Ambrosiano.
The Italian women were, in any case, great protagonists: in fact, they had Benedetta Moresco as a semi-finalist and won the Nations Cup with the trio formed by Nobilio herself, Caterina Don and Emilie Alba Paltrinieri.
