The Dutch Ladies Open 2025, the first European event of the Ladies European Tour (LET) after an intense international season, ended with an extraordinary victory for Englishwoman Mimi Rhodes, who took her third title of the season. On the prestigious course of the Goyer Golf & Country Club (par 72) in Eemnes, Holland, Rhodes dominated with a total of 207 strokes (-9), beating by two lengths the American Brianna Navarrosa and the Dutch Anne Van Dam, both second at -7. Among the tournament's protagonists, the Italian Alessia Nobilio offered a very high level performance, finishing in fourth place with 210 strokes (-6).
Italian Alessia Nobilio, the 23-year-old from Milan in her first year on the LET, gave a memorable performance, achieving her best result of the season. With a total of 210 strokes (-6), Nobilio finished in fourth place, tied with Japan's Ayako Uehara, New Zealand's Momoka Kobori and Spain's Luna Sobron Galmes. After a solid first round of 71 (-1), Alessia shone in the second round with an excellent 67 (-5), without bogey, which brought her to share the leadership with Rhodes and Spain's Nuria Iturrioz. In the final round, a 72 (par) with three birdies and three bogeys allowed her to maintain a prestigious position, showing great maturity.
Nobilio, who grew up golfing at the Ambrosiano Golf Club and fresh from her ‘card’ at the Lalla Aicha Qualifying School last December, confirmed her talent in a competitive field. ‘To be among the top in a LET tournament is a big step forward. I am working a lot on consistency, and this result gives me confidence,’ commented the Italian, who continues to be one of the brightest promises of tricolour golf.
Unfortunately, the other Italians in the competition, Alessandra Fanali and Anna Zanusso, failed to make the cut. Fanali closed with 149 strokes (77-72, +5), while Zanusso scored 152 (77-75, +8). Both, however, will soon have the opportunity to make up for it in the next LET events, starting with the Investec SA Women's Open scheduled from 10 to 13 April.
The Dutch Ladies Open offered three days of great golf, with a top-level field that included players such as France's Perrine Delacour (winner of the Investec SA Women's Open) and India's Diksha Dagar. Spain's Luna Sobron Galmes set the course record with a 65 (-7) in the second round, while Anne Van Dam, the home favourite, thrilled the Dutch public with a comeback that took her to second place. Dutch amateur Rosanne Boere also made her mark, qualifying for the final round thanks to a cut line moved to +4.
Mimi Rhodes’ victory at the Dutch Ladies Open consolidates her lead in the Order of Merit and highlights her extraordinary talent. For Italy, Alessia Nobilio emerges as a leading player, ready to make her mark on the European circuit. With Fanali and Zanusso determined to return to competition, Italian women’s golf looks to the future with optimism. The LET will soon be back in action, and fans’ eyes will still be on the Italians.
